FitPAWS® goals are packaged with four flexible goals (2 blue, 2 yellow) in the colors that dogs see best!
Each Target has a diameter of 10 ".
FitPAWS goals: training new behavior
Place a goal on the ground and use a clicker or treats to reward your dog when it shows interest in the target. You can start by luring them with a treat for their nose and then directly above the target. Or consider trying Shaping to make your dog make decisions for himself. Progress to reward your dog when his foot is on the goal. Then move the target to different places and see if your dog can follow the game! Use FitPAWS goals to "stay" to learn "send-away" and "go-to" commands.
FitPAWS goals: introducing dogs into the FitPAWS Canine Conditioning Equipment
You can also use the goals to get your dog used to the FitPAWS equipment. This is especially useful if your dog does not have an "up" command. First let your dog learn to touch the targets when they are lying on the floor. Once your dog has mastered the touch, move the goals to the FitPAWS equipment where you want your dog to train. For example, you can place two targets on the side of the FitPAWS peanut to teach your dog how to put two feet on the ball. From there it is just a matter of moving the goals at the top of the Peanut.
